The idea for this site was born out of the urge to get back into things I used to love which includes writing, running, and of course a beer and pizza on the weekends. As older athletes, we need to be a little more intentional with how we participate in all of these activities. My goal is to help other maturing runners navigate training, stay healthy, get faster, and to enjoy the journey even after the glory days are behind us.

Good information is hard to find. Here at The Runner’s Tap, we realize that not everyone is a high level competitive runner with access to coaches, trainers, dietitians, etc. It’s our mission to provide the “do it yourself” type runners a place to find useful information that you can apply toward improving your running, overall health, and help you find balance between your fitness goals as well as your guilty pleasures.
The Runner’s Tap aspires to be an entertaining yet dependable source of information ranging from topics like:
- Running
- Beer
- Nutrition
- Comedy
- Fitness Gear
- Milwaukee’s Local Running Scene
- and More

One thing that runners seem to excel at is forming strong communities. While The Runner’s Tap specializes in information for the Masters aged runner, The Runner’s Tap welcomes runners of all varieties and levels. We encourage an inclusive culture where anyone should feel welcome to share information and support each other. We aim to be your online local bar where people can have a beer and talk running with each other… and maybe get into some shenanigans and have a few laughs along the way.
